Best of times: 120 pounds

My turning point: When I saw pictures of myself at a wedding, I was all double chin! That was a real wake-up call.

My slim-down techniques: I kicked the junk-food habit, cut my calories to 1,200 a day and joined the gym.

Kept the weight off: Nearly two years

My best motivator: I tape old “fat” pictures of myself to the side of my fridge. This way, whenever I go to grab a snack, I’m forced to look at those snapshots and think twice about eating.

My greatest temptation: Carvel Ice Cream Cake. I’ll still eat it, but now I take smaller portions.

My favorite diet food: Mixed salad with romaine lettuce, carrots and cabbage tossed with Caesar or Italian dressing.

My snacking tips: I like to nibble on unsalted popcorn and fresh fruit.

My exercise routine: Going to the gym three days a week and working out on the elliptical machine and the treadmill. I also strength-train and take a spinning class for some variety.

Slim-down advice: Use all your willpower. Now before I reach for that yummy piece of cake, I’ll think: “Do I really need to eat it?”

The payoff: Dropping three dress sizes! I love being able to go clothes shopping and know that just about anything will fit.
