I was doing my morning stretches today and I realized that I can get my nose about 4 inches from my knees! It used to be that I couldn't touch my toes. I actually have to lift my hands off the ground now so I can stretch further! Yeehaw!

That is so cool. How did you do it? DO you do yoga or something? I found out the other day that I can reach my hands to the back of my toes during water aerobics, but I cant do it out of the water.lol

Way to go! That's such a cool feeling, isn't it? I did a sit up yesterday. I know that sounds silly, but I had been laying in the floor, just stretching my back and talking to DH and I just sat up. Boom. No struggling, no grunting (well, ok, maybe a little. ;) ) But I did it, without much trouble! And my feet even stayed on the floor rather than flying up in the air. Cool.
Congrats!!

When I was traveling for work about a year and a half ago, we were in Seattle and I came across this littel place called the Yoga Cafe (http://www.holistictao.com/) (it's the Shorline location on Ballinger). I asked about a book I could use while I was on the road to excercise. They gave me this book called Dahnhak: The Way to Perfect Health by Seung-Heun Lee. It's theory is that you're essentially as healthy as your intestines are and it has simple escercises to help strengthen and cleanse them.
There's a section of great warm up type stretches I do every morning. They feel so good to do and it energizes me right up for the day. There's also a really simple abs excercise that I do where you just suck 'em in tight and let 'em go. You don't need to hold them for any length of time. Do that 500 times a day. It's not that hard. It's not too time consuming either. You can increase it as it gets easier.
Here's the link if you wanna check into it.

There's no chapters in Ohio, and I guess that's good since I don't have the money to join right now, but if there was, I'd be there in a heart beat. They were so great. For $500, I got 3 "physical therepy" sessions (work was a pain in the back if you catch my drift), and 3 classes. One of the physical therapy sessions did more for me than the 6 weeks of therapy I went through after my car accident. The actual package they offered was$1000 for 2 weeks. The physical therapy sessions MWF, and then classes in between if I remember correctly. These guys really left an impression on me.

Thanks so much. I am going to look at those links and try the ab thing. I have a yoga dvd and after I read your initial post, i thought about digging it out. Yoga does put your mind at ease.
thanks again
