Now the 5ft 7in 18-year-old who suffered years of abuse at school is aiming for a career in glamour modelling after winning the title of Slimming World’s Miss Slinky 2003.

“I’ve got so much more confidence that I’ve decided to go for my dream job of becoming a Page 3 model,” she said.

Name calling

“It used to be just a bit of a day dream for me but now I feel so fantastic I’ve got the confidence to go for it.”

“Before I lost the weight I hated showing my figure.

“People would openly call me names or make remarks about my size but now I have to get used to being complimented about the way I look.”

Lashana’s weight ballooned to 15st 3lbs after she took jobs in a pub and a takeaway fried chicken restaurant.

“ I just kept eating and drinking and getting bigger and bigger,” she said.

But after joining slimming classes with her mother Sharon the pair lost a combined 11 stone.
